COUNTYLICIOUS is right around the corner! It starts November 3rd and goes till November 26th. It’s $40/person for a 3 course set dinner (not including drinks) and for each plate sold, $1 goes towards the charity FOOD TO SHARE.
My girlfriend Qing and I had the pleasure of doing a preview of the dishes from different chefs/restaurants around the county all thanks to THE DRAKE DEVONSHIRE. I loved how they brought the community together in this full day trip and we went from one side of the county to the other trying different dishes from different menus and chefs. All of the dishes were AMAZEBALLS by the way.
If you’re thinking of booking a fall getaway from the city, the month of November during Countylicious is the time to do it. I recommend booking on a weekday as weekends tend to be super busy and buzzing. In the past I’ve visited the County on a weekend, but I much preferred our weekday visit as it was quiet and we were able to curate nice photos without being annoying instagrammers. HAHA.
During this press trip we were able to taste some amazing dishes from the following Chefs/Restaurants:
Chef Elliot Reynolds – The Hubb
Chef Jon Pong – Drake Devonshire
Chef Nathan Coventry – Clara’s at the Claramount Inn
Aaron – Blue Wheel Barrow Farms
Chef Meghan Van Horne – Public House at Jackson’s Falls Country Inn
Chef Lili Sullivan – Pomodoro
Chefs Jim + Jared Hartley – Hartley’s Tavern
Chef Alex Molitz – Waupoos Winery

THE DRAKE DEVONSHIRE
I’ve always wanted to stay at The Drake Devonshire and was happy to have had the opportunity to stay at their cozy country Inn this time around. I was super impressed with the thoughtfulness of the interior decor and design. The food and service coupled with the joyful atmosphere is something one should experience. It’s a hot spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner even if you’re just passing through. I love that they are beside a lake and the view from the restaurant just takes your breath away. And our Stargazer room was spectacular and super adorable.
I hope this post has given you some travel inspiration on your next Fall getaway from the city! I will definitely be back Prince Edward County and see you soon!
Xx
