DRESSING FOR COMFORT

July 18, 2017

Hello lovelies! Hope you are having a fantastic week so far!

Me? Not feeling so hot, but that’s ok.

Speaking of hot, I took a hot yoga class yesterday that kicked my a$$, but my mind felt far from being cleansed as I’ve been feeling so gloomy and down lately that it’s hard to get out of this funk. Especially when I have no control over it whatsoever. Which is why I haven’t been motivated to keep up with the blog. What a horrible excuse eh?

So in ode to that, I felt this outfit is an appropriate post cus when we shot it, it was gloomy and raining in Montreal which is exactly how my mood is at the moment. I won’t go into detail, but just knowing that I can write down my thoughts here kind of makes me feel a bit better. KIND OF. Haha.

This is not the issue I’m sad about, cus I know there are ways to achieve my ultimate end goal and it’s something I have control over. But I am very self conscious about my body as I’ve been gaining weight in all the wrong places and things are starting to get jiggy wit it. It’s something I have been starting to work on, hence all the dance, yoga and bootcamp classes I’ve been hitting up. These classes are a great way to not only shed those calories, but relieve some stress as the activities are somewhat aggressive. Trust me I wish I can wear certain types of clothing, but until I can get back into shape, you will always see me covered up. But hopefully you will agree in a stylish way!

If you know me and my style I love dressing for comfort. But to be honest, sometimes I wear shoes that are certainly uncomfortable but match better with the outfit. That’s fashion for you. Sometimes it hurts…. literally. Most days you will see me in runners or comfy flats. When picking outfits they always need to feel good on me and it doesn’t hurt when they have some style game, am I right?

Take this PJ pant suit I found at the Zara sale. I can literally sleep in this, it’s sooooo comfortable and best part is, it’s super trendy and stylish. I also found these pointy modern brogues from the sale and I absolutely love them as they are both stylish and comfortable. I decided to wear it with this amazing and affordable black lace camisole I found at HM (only $29.99 and comes in so many different colors!),  a perfect staple to have in your closet. I think I will be purchasing the natural white and powder pink version too, it’s just that good. Doesn’t it look good?!

I hope you all have an amazing week. I’ll try my best to stay positive in the meantime. I’m heading out to dance tonight and will probably post it on my ig stories. Follow along if you want!

Xx
