Hey friends! I know what you’re thinking… I was in New York again?!
I was truly humbled when Old Navy invited me to their Pattern & Print Workshop in NYC. If you caught my stories on Instagram and Snapchat, you would know I had an insanely great time. What made the trip even more memorable was that I got to hang out with my Toronto babe Gaby, whom I admire so much in this blogging world.
I decided to rock a minimal corporate chic look for the event. It was a change for me as I’m usually rocking something with denim. I have to say I got a ton of compliments on this outfit on my Instagram.
Seen above and below, I’m wearing an Old Navy Blouse, Trousers and Tote and Gap Grey Wool Coat. I’m seriously in love with this combo and if I were still in my corporate job, I would be rocking something like this everyday.
During the workshop I caught up with Old Navy’s textile designers Kristina Cazarez and Jennifer Chen. The beautiful patterns you see on their dresses and blouses were hand painted pre-production which I find so unique! Forever inspired by Runway, the floral prints and wispy nature of their fall line were inspired by top fashion houses like Chloe and Gucci. In my opinion you need to have the right print on the right fabric and they nailed it.
I especially love their dresses since I see myself layering them to give a boho streetstyle vibe. Below I’ve linked some of my favorite Old Navy dresses:
1. Throw on a Black Moto Jacket with this mustard yellow floral pattern dress.
2. The holiday is looking good in this chic maroon number.
3. Swing into action with this perfect Little Black Dress.
4. Throw on a cozy grey knit cardi over this floral grey beauty.
I absolutely love when events are interactive. The workshops were coupled with food and champagne to make for the perfect night. I was able to DIY my very own makeup pouch and press flower art into a laminate and frame it. I have to say, I’m not the best at “do it yourself” crafting. But I think I did a darn good job – what do you think?
I want to thank Old Navy for their hospitality and for the most delightful two days in New York. I cannot wait to be back in this beautiful city!
