Travelling to Banff, Alberta has been top on my list for the longest time. I’m so happy I got to do it with my girls thanks to McCafé Canada and Westjet. The in flight coffee fix from McCafé was just what I needed to get through the long day as we had an early morning flight, which meant no sleep! Seen above, I think Camilla and I were a little delirious from the long day haha.
I was looking forward to a winter wonderland with a blue lake. I guess we were a couple months too late. What were we thinking?! In any case we were in awe of the magical Alberta Banff mountain views. The driving was quite scary, and I don’t know how I got stuck with the worst driving conditions out of all three designated drivers. HAHA. But I’m glad everyone was extra careful on the roads and we made it out of there alive and almost well. By almost well, I mean two of our girls got super sick on the last night of our stay. What rotten luck, but apparently it’s a virus that’s going around. I hope you’re all staying healthy and safe this holiday season friends!
With my babes Qing, Vicki, Nina, Mel and Camilla and our morning McCafé coffee fix.
Our time in Banff was short, but we were able to visit a few of popular locations. Even though I was hoping for some magical blue lake water, we had a great time frolicking in a true winter white wonderland!
Luckily we stumbled across a beautiful running river at Fairmont Banff thanks to the help of our Alberta blogger friend Reese.
Helloooooo Alberta!!!!
Day two! Nina with two large coffee’s to go – I feel you girl!
We arrived at Lake Louise expecting to actually see a lake. DOH! I guess we’ll need to come back in the spring, haha.
The coffee got cold so quick, but still feelin all kinds of giddy chillin with my crew!
On the way to Emerald Lake, we stopped in the middle of the road to…. Anyone watch my IG stories? HAHA. You may have missed our nature shenanigans and impromptu photo shoot. During our shoot, so many Albertan’s stopped their car to make sure we were ok. That warmed my heart so much. This is why I love my country!
Arrived at Emerald Lake and we found water woo hoo!
Unfortunately, the actual lake was frozen solid, haha.
I must say, the forest next to the lake was magical.
After freezing our butts off, we warmed ourselves up with some nomzies. Girl talk is always on the menu and believe me our conversations are nothing short of boring haha.
Big thank you to McCafe Canada and Westjet for giving me and my babes a chance to spend some much needed girl time together and for the unlimited amount of coffee to get us through the freezing cold! Thanks for reading and see you on the next post!
