The Perfect Mother’s Day + GIVEAWAY

The most important thing in my life is family. No matter how many ups and downs we go through and however imperfect we are, I will forever be thankful and appreciative of how my parents have raised me and all they have done for our family. Growing up they provided us with a comfortable life and an opportunity for us to find ourselves without any additional parental pressure. They never forced me to be someone I wasn’t and supported my passions, even if it didn’t point towards a high paying corporate job.
There are no words to express how much I miss my mother. She was my role model, my mother and my friend. She passed away in my mid-twenties and through this tragedy, it made us realize all the silly little fights and grudges being held were not worth it. Through this difficult time our family bonded and grew closer. Years later my dad re-married to a wonderful and amazing woman I’m proud to call my stepmom. She is kind, considerate and treats my dad and family with love and respect. I couldn’t be happier my dad found someone he could make a life with, someone who loves him unconditionally.
And that’s why celebrating mothers is important and should be an everyday occurrence. But the fact we can dedicate a whole day to them is even more special. Over the weekend I invited my stepmom, sister in law and her daughter (my baby niece) to come over and get ready before heading to brunch with the family.
Girl time was just what we needed and sprucing up our hair with the new was way too much fun!
