The OTK aka over the knee boots trend has been popular for quite some time and I don’t nearly wear it enough. I do think it’s a great option especially if you want to wear short skirts, or skirts in general in these frigid temperatures.
Searching for the for your everyday needs can be tricky. I’ve listed down a few options below that fit in everyone’s budget. The boots you see here are from the Zara sale and not one that you will be able to walk in all day. They’re also a grey/blue velvet color which doesn’t really fit into the essential colors category and is more for the sake of fashion. 😉
If you want to get great wear out of your OTK, purchase one that will give it to you. I believe the obvious choice for your first OTK would be black, but I also am searching for the perfect beige/nude color. It’s taking me some time to locate the perfect pair within my budget, so stay tuned for that!
I paired my OTK’s with a staple black mini skirt, a lace top and topped it off with a kimono style wool jacket from Zara. This outfit is great for a night out with the girls, or date night with the man.
